Biography of Henri Senders

In 2006, Henri Senders (1958) took up photography out of the blue. Without any training and therefore not being limited by technical aspects he, just by doing it, found and created his special style. An unique style achieved by mainly working on different locations using only natural light. Like photographers in the analogue era used to do, his photos are only edited in elementary way.

Henri never has a set up plan for his shoots. All photos are the result of improvisation and intuition. He arranges a model, chooses a location and depending on the weather, mood of the day, how things work out, model-interaction and the settings, he takes his photos. Needless to say that his models are also chosen by intuition.

"The people I work with are chosen by intuition, I am never looking for perfect bodies or perfect faces." It's the look in their eyes that intrigues him. This way he worked with lots of beautiful people from different countries.
